It's Been Awhile....

Life in the Floradornments studio has been, well, erratic!

The bouquets that went to Australia had a LONG journey, fraught apparently with much physical abuse to the packaging but finally made it there and to the wedding.
Congratulations Sharon!  I am anticipating those photos!!

I have been working on other bouquets as well as the "nuts and bolts" in the Etsy shop.

TODAY I want to share an incredible blog with you, that just happens to be sponsoring a Floradornments giveaway!

If you know someone planning a wedding this is a site NOT to be missed.

Sharon is getting married in September and will be wearing a lovely traditional ivory gown.  She requested 2 bouquets in browns, reds and cream without a lot of bling.

Her bouquet has 12 stems with modern and vintage embellishments, and just a touch of sparkle.

Her bridesmaid's bouquet has 8 stems, and a few different fabrics as well as all different

You can't see it here, but the stems are wrapped in ivory satin ribbon affixed with pearl pins.

And, finally, a little something for the gents in the wedding party!

We will all be excited to see your wedding photos!!

A very supportive high school teacher asked me to make her a corsage to wear to the football games.
As you can see the school colors are royal blue, silver and white.
What fun to work with!

Where's the Floradornment?

Back on May 25 I told you about Becky's custom order for a tiny floradornment that was 2.5 inches across.

It ended up in this brooch bouquet  - can you find it??

Thanks for the pictures Becky!
I know the bride appreciated all the effort you went to to contribute something that was just right!

Here are the 4 floradornments listed today in the Etsy shop - all are fall colors.

I want to thank my customer who asked me to put a magnet backing on her floradornments.  What an inspired idea!  I have had nametags with backings that were magnetic and it enables you to put them on fine fabrics without destroying them.  Also in the floradornments world, with a magnet you can have much more flexibility in placement.  Just ask my dogs how they like wearing floradornments on their collars!
Thanks Marilyn for making something that should have been obvious to me very apparent!

Thank you all for checking in - I love hearing what you think!!

Happy 4th!

If you are someone who would wear a floradorned necklace then you could understand this fashion statement for today!  Just a little variation on the traditional red, white and blue.

This necklace sold in less than 24 hours to one of my newest customers in Perth ( yes - Australia ) and I wanted to be sure you all got a chance to see it.

The other big news of the past week is the Chic Street Boutique of San Diego will soon be carrying Floradornments!
Jane, the owner, has come up with a most novel way of getting the goods to you - her boutique is a van!  How creative is that?
So if you are somewhere in her range of travel have a look out for her.  You can also catch her on Facebook at
